Unlike rattan, wicker is a little weaker, pun unintended. It has the tendency to fray a little faster due to the finer weave it has.
For a more casual look, the chairs and tables that go in a conservatory do not primarily have to be for dining purposes. Entertaining guests can come in the form of more relaxed, laid-back armchairs and sofas that are very much a welcome addition in the room for as long as sunlight is not directly situated into the room. Remember that the point of adding seats in the conservatory is to make the room more inviting and welcoming to stay in for extended periods rather than make it a simple conversation piece where guests would want to stay in another room altogether in spite of all the flora spruced up in there. Foldaway tables would be a flexible addition that will give guests reasons to stay there, whether it will be used to serve snacks, play cards, or both at the same time. Adding cushions will also be a great idea if the iron or rattan seats are not comfortable enough.
Another option for conservatory furniture would be getting mobile seats that can move around the room instead of the ones that are permanently installed onto one spot. That way, the garden room can be more flexible especially when there are more guests that need to be accommodated at any one time. Armchairs and rocking chairs are also surprising pieces that will actually liven up the room if situated in the right spots. These never go out of style, and never underestimate the relaxation brought by a well-placed hammock.
